The convention center

The convention center of MESSE DRESDEN is a location of trade for knowledge exchange, information and get together.  As a part of the exhibition center the new building has received the individual name BÖRSE DRESDEN. The name of the building reminds of its original use a hundred years ago. 

As from now, congresses up to a size of 10.000 participants can be realized in the future. In particular, huge and international congresses and conventions, which can be combined with fairs in the exhibition halls, take place at BÖRSE DRESDEN.

History of the name

The name BÖRSE DRESDEN regards to its original use of the main building as a meat market of the Erlwein slaughterhouse. Historical documents, founded during the construction, describe the use of an active trade and valuation center and meat market for worked livestock. In those times build-up of business relations and exchange of information and knowledge have already taken place and for this reason explain the return to the name BÖRSE DRESDEN for the present time.

Development of the name

Also for the future BÖRSE DRESDEN is a location to support knowledge exchange, get-togethers and information trade between national and international business partners, even though in a more broadly defined way. BÖRSE DRESDEN is meant to be a venue for communication, as a center to deliver and share insights into new and innovative ideas, a place where acting entrepreneurial finds a beginning as well as market development will be improved.
